We're Chris & Jamie Thomas
About three years ago, Jamie and I discovered Dave Ramsey. We started budgeting for the first time, getting serious about our finances — and somewhere in the middle of all that, we realized we had a camper sitting in the driveway that we'd just bought on credit. Dave would've told us to light the money on fire.
So I decided to turn it into an asset instead of a loss. I listed it on RVShare and it took off — the bookings in the first few months were incredible. While on the platform, I noticed you could list a camper you didn't personally own. After months of research and outreach, I landed my first owner willing to trust me with their camper. Then another. Then another.
In February 2025, we took everything we'd built and launched Auburn Camper Rentals — our own brand, our own platform, our own identity. It's been one of the most fun things we've ever done together, and we're just getting started.
We're based in Smiths Station, AL. We know these campgrounds, these roads, and these communities. We're not a chain — we're your neighbors.
